Christchurch < with the escape from Cyclone Yasi by a few hours out of Cairns airport the Team arrived  with relief. Not much thought for the september earthquake apart from seeing some damaged buildings but the team spent one night here and then headed for the countryside.

The Team amble down the SE side of South Island and pop into Mt. Cook camping at Lake Tekapo Twizel and onto Oamaru where they saved a kitten named Copber from the chop.

Whizzing over to the NE coast of South Island the team strike it lucky spotting 6 Sperm Whales and 250 Dusky Dolphins and a super lucky Albatross.

Chilling out in Lake Taupo the largest crater lake in the world team members hooked up with the local sailing club and snook in a couple of races.
